With great passion for medicine and ophthalmology I started this journey in my homeland, at the University of Damascus. I then continued my professional studies in Italy at the University of Milan, obtaining a degree and qualification for medical practice in 1993 and specialization in ophthalmology at the same University in 1999.
Later I wanted to improve my education by obtaining a Master in Rino-Allergology at the University La Sapienza of Rome in 2014; subsequently I obtained a Masters in ocular oncology at the Catholic University of Rome.
I have studied in depth the techniques of ophthalmoplasty and diagnosis of the orbital pathologies and of the lacrimal apparatus through the training provided by ESASO Switzerland, following a practical course at the University of Malta in 2018.

I have expanded my knowledge in clinical nutrition at the International Academy of Clinical Nutrition in Rome.
I also spent training periods abroad in Spain and the Netherlands in the field of ophthalmoplasty and I participated in a humanitarian eye mission in Africa.
I have gained my long-term clinical expertise in both public and private structures, in the territories of Varese, Como and related provinces in general ophthalmology, pediatric ophthalmology, medical retina, glaucoma and corneal diseases, correction of visual defects with excimer laser, corneal cross linking treatment for keratoconus, minor eyelid surgery, ocular oncology, ocular allergy, clinical nutrition and ocular preventive medicine.
